At Backus Orthodontics, we are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars on CPR and OSHA guidelines.
Kathie is one of our Orthodontic Assistants and has been with us since 2000. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 daughters and son. She enjoys going to the mountains, watching her children’s activities, and watching baseball, softball and Auburn football. Her team members describe Kathie as a hard worker, knowledgeable, feisty and outgoing.
Lisa is our New Patient Coordinator and has been with us since 2006. She has been in orthodontics since 1988. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with family and her house full of pets. She loves being outdoors and traveling. She enjoys gardening and music. Her team members describe Lisa as sweet, gentle, laid back and down to earth.
Maria is our Office Administrator and has been with us since April 2007. Prior to that she spent 14 years at BCBS AL in the Customer Service and Accounting departments. Outside the office she enjoys a close-knit family, spending time with her husband, daughter and watching her son play baseball. She is an avid reader. Her team members describe Maria as consistent and dedicated.
Sherri joined us March 2009 as our Professional Relations Coordinator. Outside the office she is very much a family person who enjoys time with her husband, 2 daughters and 5 pets. She enjoys mission work, teaching drama and singing. When she is not serving at church or here, she enjoys her photography business and scrapbooking. She is described by her team members as always smiling and cheerful, high energy, outgoing and sweet.
Laura joined us in February of 2010 as an Orthodontic Assistant. Outside the office Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 children. She loves Auburn Football, Zumba and she spends a lot of time at the ball field. Her team members describe her as sweet, kind and funny.
Ann joined us in April of 2010 as an Administrative Assistant. Outside the office Ann enjoys spending time with her husband and 5 kids. Her team mates describe her as sweet, dedicated and hard working.
Grace is our newest team member, she joined us May 2010 as an Orthodontic Assistant. Grace enjoys the beach, shopping, reading and spending time with her 3 girls. Her team mates describe her as fun, sweet and dedicated.
