Dr. Jeffrey Backus has been creating beautiful smiles since 2000. He has lived in Birmingham since he was 10 years old and is proud to provide orthodontic treatment to people in his community. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Auburn University and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. After completing dental school, he went on to complete specialty training and earn a Certificate in Orthodontics from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
He gives back to the community as a supporter of Camp Smile-A-Mile, the Ronald McDonald House and is an active member of Prince of Peace Church. When Dr. Backus is not creating magnificent smiles, he likes to spend time with his wife, Dominique, and their three children: Connelly, Holland and Miller.
